Manhattan Beach Fire Chief, Robert Espinosa

Our guest this morning is Manhattan Beach Fire Chief Robert Espinosa. Chief Espinosa has over 34 years of experience in the fire service including four years in the US Army as a firefighter. He began his municipal career in 1982 with the El Segundo Fire Department. From 1984 to 2008, he was a member of the Long Beach Fire Department where he held the ranks of Fire Captain, Battalion Chief, and Assistant Fire Chief. His assignments as an Assistant Chief included Deputy Fire Marshal and Operations Chief. In December of 2008, he accepted an appointment to Fire Chief with the City of Rialto. He has been the Fire Chief for Manhattan Beach since June of 2011 where he will finish his career. Bob is currently the President of the South Bay Fire Chiefs' Association, Second VP of the League of Cities Fire Chiefs' Department, member of the League of Cities Public Works, Transportation, and Communications committee, and the California Fire Chiefs' Liaison to the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers.
